Feel free to check in on the Facebook event!  You are welcome to invite anyone and everyone who you think can benefit from this! I just ask if they are your friend and I do not know them have them send me a Facebook friend invite so I can get connected with them!

Note you are required to check in daily with the group to stay involved-and of course you have to eat clean lol.

What’s stopping you?

After a great chat with a new friend tonight I have learned that we all really know what we need to do. But we sometime get bogged down in what it is, resulting in us not actually doing it. We all have our own struggles and it is how we overcome them which shows us who we really are.

I learned tonight that a piercing comment that someone made 2+ years ago does not define me and that I am the only person giving it credence. Well enough is enough… I am taking my own advice and getting out of my own damn way.

What are you stopping yourself from doing, obtaining, overcoming??

#GetHappyFit Shopping Struggles

During any journey you are bound to have some hiccups… Never did I guess crying in a clothing store change room was going to one of those things. Well it happened! I know I am not the only one who has cried in a change room and I know I will not be the last.

Although, I would love to help others know its OK to have a hiccup in your journey. But you have to make sure you get back up, dust yourself off and keep going.

Transformation Tuesday – March 1, 2016

I have been on a journey to find happiness, a healthier outlook and myself. In 2013 I was very unhappy and ate my feelings. Now in 2016 I am happy, loved, and supported by my friends, family and my hunnie. Plus I have found a workout plan and lifestyle which I can manage.

If I can put down the fork and get off the couch I know you can too. If you want help or advice just send me a message or comment here.

21 Days can be an epic journey!

These past 21 Days have honestly been a journey!!! Not only have I have learned about proper eating and nutrition. I have also learned, I really do have what it takes to take control of my life. I have always loved food! This love was linked to my struggle with my weight.
• When I was sad, I ate.
• When I was angry, I ate.
• When I was sad and angry that I was gaining weight, I ate.
• When I was happy, I ate.

I have started the process of breaking that cycle with 21 Day Fix and my Beachbody support family. With eating clean and healthy foods plus making sure I get in my exercise, I am not a slave to my unhappiness anymore. In 21 days I have lost a total of 11 inches off my body. This sums up to being 2.5% body fat (6lbs)!! Hallelujah!!

I am still on my journey to becoming Happy Fit and I would love you to join me. We have so many programs that are amazing, and they all have:
• An easy to follow eating plan that focuses on eating cleaner/cutting out processed foods.
• Daily workouts that are different each day of the week. (Yoga, Pilates, High Intensity Cardio and so much more)
• Shakeology to replace a meal or just be a yummy snack. It is packed with super-foods and is a nutrition shake meant to help your body function better, therefore reducing cravings and increasing energy. I found Shakeology to be a HUGE HELP!!!
• ME, as your coach!! ‪#‎GetFitBuddies‬
• A challenge group with other women all doing a program at once, for support, guidance, and accountability.

Summer bodies are created in the winter is what I am learning!! Make time for you, so you will have all the energy to do everything you want this summer. I can’t wait to toss my one piece and feel confident in my future two piece swimsuit. I know you have goals too and let’s take those steps together.

2016: One Little Word – Cultivate

We are already 4 days into 2016 and I am excited about all the possibilities this year proposes!

Last year was a year of finding my footing and learning to be loved, to emerge from the dust I was in previously (2014).  I am happy to say I have emerged and am present!  I start each year with a word as an intention – 2014: Open, 2015: Emerge, and for 2016 the word is cultivate.

In order to start this off right one must understand the meaning of the word and from the Merriam Webster Dictionary the snippet below shows what the definition of cultivate is:

  1. to prepare or prepare and use for the raising of crops; also:  to loosen or break up the soil about (growing plants)

  2. a:  to foster the growth of <cultivate vegetables> b:culturec:  to improve by labor, care, or study :refine<cultivate the mind>

  3. further, encourage<cultivate the arts>

  4. to seek the society of :  make friends with

In 2016 I want to cultivate:

  • a healthier lifestyle.
  • my creative passions.
  • stronger connections with friends and family.
  • a solid financial foundation.
  • new knowledge and skills.
  • my personal voice.
  • a creative tribe of like minded individuals who aspire to grow ad develop.
  • a more positive outlook for my life.

In the past I have written this post and then pretty much vacated my blog for the year.  I am going to make more of a personal effort this year to document how I have successfully cultivated my 2016.

What is your big plan for 2016?
Have you set your intentions?
Do you use the One Little Word system?

Blooming with ideas!

If you did not know I am a publicist as my day job… my 9-5 job.  I loving working in PR. I have the opportuntiy to meet and work with some amazing people.  This weekend I was working at the Spring Home and Garden Show in Hamilton.  I had such an amazing weekend.  The show opened on Friday and ran until today (Sunday) at 5pm.

I had the pleasure of meeting many delightful exhibitors and working with our local Hamilton media.  I also enjoyed spending time with our amazing line up of celebrity guests – Lynn Spence, Frankie Flowers, Anna Olson, Paul Lafrance and Jane Lockhart.

I cannot begin to say how wonderful it is to work with lovely guests.   They all shared tips and ideas whether it was for inside your home or outside in the yard.  Plus Anna shared everything about baking – mmmm delicious!

I am happily home now and my feet are ever so sore, yet my brain is chalked full of ideas!! I am starting a new Pinterest board for some fun DIY ideas I am going to do!!
